Event Project Manager – Décor & Design Focus

Do you have a passion for creating events and making long-lasting memories for your clients? Mugwump Productions is seeking a Project Manager focusing on event décor and production!

What you will be doing:
  • Organizing event décor productions for high-profile corporate events from initial design to event day, including meetings with clients to determine needs, budget, designing, and building quotes, coordinating vendors and venues, overseeing loading of trucks, on-site management, set-up, and execution.
  • Create floor plans, design stage sets, and coordinate with venue for internal and external planning
  • Conduct pre/post-conference meetings with clients and relevant departments to confirm details
  • Guide pre-planning and client deadlines for seamless event execution
  • Work closely with technical, warehouse, marketing, sales, and project management teams
  • In collaboration with the Production Manager, ensure adequate staff scheduling for setup/strike of events
  • Participate in design reviews with internal staff, clients, and consultants
  • Oversee and assist with load-in and load-out for events
  • Serve as onsite liaison for clients and technician teams to maintain high customer service standards
  • Attend weekly meetings providing status reports on upcoming and past events
  • Manage job costing to ensure cost-effectiveness
Your experience and skills include:
  • At least 3 to 5 years of project management experience in the event/hospitality industry
  • Creative and passionate about events
  • Knowledge of the event industry
  • Proficient in creating budgets and understanding profit and loss statements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Management experience and leadership abilities
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask
  • Able to work in high-energy, high-pressure environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and team-oriented
  • Able to work weekends and evenings
  • Proficiency in Flex Software Program or ability to learn new programs quickly
  • Proficiency in general office equipment
  • Hospitality degree or experience is desirable

Mugwump Productions is based in Jacksonville, FL, with a second location in Daytona Beach, FL. Our Jacksonville office is in a newly built building near the Town Center, off 295 & Beach Blvd.
