Qualifications

• Successful completion of Paramedic course (must obtain Paramedic license in state of operation within 120 days).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers.
• Current valid driver license in good standing.
• Preferred qualifications include ATLS/TPATC/PHTLS, NRP, PALS, ACLS, and Attendance License.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced medical care, evaluation, treatment and stabilization of patients.
• Safely drive ambulances and other emergency vehicles.
• Transport patients to appropriate medical facilities while ensuring safety and stability.
• Maintain communication with dispatch, hospital staff, police, fire personnel, and others as needed.
• Complete and maintain Patient Care Reports and related forms.
• Clean and maintain medical equipment, vehicles and living quarters.
• Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain certification.
• Supervise and ensure quality of care by EMTs and other personnel.
• Educate patients on health topics, disease management and prevention.
