Event Operations & Podcast Studio Manager

Location: Venice, CA

Position Type: Part-Time

Role Overview: We are seeking an Event Operations & Podcast Studio Manager to oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of events while also managing and marketing our in-house podcast studio. This role requires a strong understanding of AV setups, event logistics, and hospitality, as well as leadership skills to train and manage interns. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:

Event Operations

  • Set up and break down event spaces, including tables, chairs, decor, and AV equipment.
  • Manage and oversee AV setup, including sound, lighting, and video equipment.
  • Train and supervise interns, ensuring they effectively contribute to event operations.
  • Perform general maintenance to ensure the venue remains in top condition.
  • Greet guests and provide excellent customer service throughout events.
  • Coordinate event logistics, such as guest lists, seating arrangements, and vendor coordination.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and guest-ready event spaces at all times.
  • Assist with event-related tasks, including food service, bartending, and post-event cleanup.
  • Address guest inquiries and resolve concerns professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines, venue policies, and equipment protocols.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the podcast studio, ensuring it is clean, organized, and fully functional.
  • Set up and manage audio and video recording equipment for podcast sessions.
  • Provide technical support to podcast hosts and guests, troubleshooting any AV issues.
  • Maintain and update studio equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate studio bookings and ensure smooth transitions between recording sessions.
  • Assist with post-production tasks, such as file management and minor editing if needed.

Sales & Marketing for Podcast Studio

  • Develop and implement a marketing strategy to attract new clients to the podcast studio.
  • Manage social media, website updates, and digital marketing efforts to promote the studio.
  • Create partnerships with local creators, businesses, and influencers to drive bookings.
  • Generate leads, conduct outreach, and close sales for podcast studio rentals and services.
  • Track sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in event operations, hospitality, or venue management.
  • Strong knowledge of AV equipment setup, troubleshooting, and production workflows.
  • Experience with podcast recording equipment and software.
  • Proven experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in the creative or media industry.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift and move event equipment as needed.
  • Comfortable working evenings and weekends as required by events.
