Job summary

RTM Business Group in New York is seeking an Event Operations Manager to lead the event logistics team from pre-event planning to on-site management and post-event evaluation.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing an event logistics team in the B2B conferences/events space and can ensure the successful execution of conferences across multiple cities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry (internship experience qualifies).
  • Self-starter, extremely organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy.
  • Must be proactive and have the ability to work under pressure.
  • Balance and prioritize multiple deadlines at once.

Responsibilities

  • Manage event onsite, including coordinating with speakers, managing event staff, overseeing event setup and teardown, and resolving any issues or emergencies
  • Create and implement comprehensive event operation plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources allocation, for each event
  • Coordinate all phases of event logistics through detailed communication including, but not limited to, food and beverage, meeting room lay-out, room list, transportation, AV equipment rental, event registration, on-site execution etc
  • Mentor and motivate team by providing training and coaching as needed
  • Travel nationally throughout the year
  • Work with vendors to order and receive supplies and services for food, beverages, supplies, equipment, and other necessary items
  • Create, monitor and manage event timelines on Airtable
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to produce event collateral, materials, client requirements and follow‑up activities
  • Build and maintain relationships with a diverse network of individuals and organizations

About The Role

We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic, positive, and ambitious, and experienced Event Operations Manager to join our team! The ideal candidate will have experience managing an event logistics team in the B2B conferences/events space and has an excellent understanding of what is required to run a successful event. The Event Ops Manager will ensure execution of our conferences, from pre-event planning to on-site management and post-event evaluation.

What You Bring
  • Ability to travel
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1-2 years of experience in the Hospitality Industry (internship experience qualifies)
  • Self‑starter, extremely organized and detailed‑oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy
  • Must be proactive and have the ability to work under pressure
  • Balance and prioritize multiple deadlines at once
  • Exceptional follow‑up and follow‑through skills
  • Competency with technology and ability to learn new software and applications
  • Ability to quickly learn new software and applications
  • Professional telephone skills and writing skills for communication with attendees
  • Experience with Airtable, CVENT, Alchemer, or Adalo preferred

Salary $72,000 base plus bonuses/incentives.
