Job summary

Skechers is seeking an Event Marketing Manager – Skechers Performance to oversee end-to-end event lifecycles and drive the brand through strategic event initiatives. You will lead planning with partners and internal teams, manage calendars, dashboards, and vendor relations, and coordinate on-site setup across major events.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, timely communication, and data-driven event recaps to inform executive decisions. Travel across the U.S. may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management, communication, and production of all Skechers Performance events.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all event partner teams and manage day-to-day communication with key players from each corporation.
  • Create and maintain a Performance Event Calendar throughout the year and share updates with relevant parties.
  • Lead planning meetings with external event partners and internal teams.
  • Develop and maintain a detailed planning document with timelines and deliverables for each event.
  • Schedule meetings and follow-ups on important actions from meetings.
  • Lead communication flow for all internal teams leading into an event.
  • Delegate event tasks to various internal teams and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Collaborate with the Field Marketing Team to ensure event details and expectations are communicated ahead of each event.
  • Coordinate and schedule onsite operational set-up and breakdown for all events.
  • Create detailed event recaps with imagery and KPIs for the executive team.
  • Assist in developing and coordinating marketing asset deliverables (print/digital designs and collateral).
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop and execute comprehensive event strategies to amplify brand, drive demand, and accelerate sales opportunities.
  • Propose creative and disruptive ideas and build capability and strategic partnerships that benefit the brand long-term.
  • Collaborate with Account Marketing to plan and execute key retail partner events and demo days.
  • Act as liaison with Wholesale Accounts and Account Marketing on shipping/staff needs and to ensure each event features the latest product.
  • Collaborate with event partners to build a social media calendar surrounding product launches and events.
  • Manage forecasting of promotional footwear for event partner staff (quarterly) and monitor inventory levels and depletion.
  • Ensure all vendors are set up and payments processed.
  • Proactively handle issues and troubleshoot emerging problems.
  • Liaise with other internal departments (Apparel, Retail, Visual Merchandising, PR) on various projects.
  • Work collaboratively with sports and marketing team members.
  • Travel in the U.S. may be required to provide onsite support at select events.

Reporting to the Director of Sports Marketing, the Event Marketing Manager oversees entire event lifecycles for the Skechers Performance division, executing best‑in‑class initiatives to promote and grow the Skechers brand.

COMPENSATION

The pay range for this role is $80,000–$100,000 per year (USD).
