Seeking an experienced Event Marketing Manager to lead the planning, development, and execution of impactful events and experiential marketing programs. This role will own events from strategy and concept through execution and post-event analysis, partnering closely with cross-functional teams and external vendors to create engaging experiences that support broader marketing and business objectives.
The Event Marketing Manager will oversee a variety of event formats, including industry conferences, corporate events, networking programs, workshops, customer and partner events, hosted experiences, and other experiential initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic and highly organized marketer who can balance creative thinking with strong project management and operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute event marketing strategies and programs aligned with overall marketing and business objectives.
- Own event planning and execution from initial concept and budgeting through production, on-site management, and post-event reporting.
- Develop event briefs, timelines, budgets, run-of-show documents, promotional plans, and other supporting materials.
- Partner with internal teams across marketing, sales, communications, creative, leadership, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive event experiences.
- Manage external partners and vendors, including venues, production teams, agencies, caterers, and other event suppliers.
- Develop and execute pre-event and post-event marketing campaigns to drive awareness, registration, attendance, engagement, and follow-up.
- Manage event registration, attendee communications, invitations, guest lists, and other audience engagement activities.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, contracts, travel, materials, signage, technology, staffing, and on-site production.
- Support content development and event programming, including agendas, presentations, speaker coordination, and attendee experiences.
- Monitor event budgets and expenses, ensuring programs are delivered effectively and within established parameters.
- Track and analyze event performance, including attendance, engagement, lead generation, pipeline contribution, and other relevant KPIs.
- Gather stakeholder and attendee feedback and use insights to optimize future events and marketing programs.
- Identify opportunities to improve event processes, expand reach, and introduce new approaches to experiential and event marketing.
Qualifications
- 4–7 years of experience in event marketing, experiential marketing, field marketing, corporate events, or a related marketing discipline.
- Proven experience managing events and marketing programs from strategy through execution.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, budgets, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to develop strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior stakeholders, and external partners.
- Strategic and creative thinker who can translate business objectives into engaging event experiences.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or travel as required for events.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with event registration and management platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools.
- Familiarity with event-related analytics, reporting, and lead management.
- Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across email, social, digital, and other channels.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Canva, or similar marketing and creative tools.
- Experience managing agency and vendor relationships, contracts, and event budgets.
- Experience with both in-person and virtual or hybrid events is a plus.
