Event Manager

Pay Rate/Range: $34.00 to $44.00

Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Location: Onsite in South San Francisco, CA

Duration: 6 months

Role Overview

The Onsite Event Partner manages large-scale campus events across 90+ onsite venues, similar to hotel or convention center event coordinators. This role offers strategic planning support and logistical coordination, enabling event hosts to focus on content, branding, communication, and attendee engagement. The Event Partner collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to ensure successful event execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main contact for event hosts, providing guidance on planning and executing large campus events.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, service teams, and vendors to ensure seamless coordination.
  • Provide detailed information on departmental processes, requirements, and procedures to clients.
  • Partner with AV teams to communicate and fulfill audiovisual needs.
  • Create and share room diagrams, photos, and space insights with service teams.
  • Maintain documentation for each event, including service details and logistical requirements.
  • Perform administrative tasks, including collecting and analyzing event data.
  • Communicate clearly and courteously at all organizational levels, maintaining a service-oriented approach.
  • Coordinate third-party vendors for event enhancements (e.g., florists, musicians, linens, branding).

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Experience:

  • At least 3 years in hospitality, event planning, or customer experience roles
  • Experience delivering high-impact programs in a corporate or employee engagement environment

Skills:

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (in-person, phone, digital)
  • Strong time management and multitasking skills
  • Experience with ticketing/workflow systems (e.g., service desk platforms)
  • Ability to learn and apply internal policies, SOPs, and operational guidelines quickly
