Overview

The Event Installer/Driver is a driving and customer service position with an emphasis on reliability and determination. The role involves operating box trucks and vans, safely loading and unloading gear, and transporting crews to event venues.

Responsibilities

• Operate box trucks and vans to transport gear and crew.
• Safely load and unload gear and equipment.
• Drop off/pick up crews at event venues.
• Set up and strike drape, furniture, and hardware at event venues.
• Work with a crew leader and crew members on a team.
• Prepare for daily scheduled activities in the warehouse and on-site.
• Complete warehouse tasks after on-site work.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a strong work ethic.
• Execute consecutive events while managing associated stresses and challenges.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Understanding of hotel/convention docks.
• Ability to positively interact with team members and customers daily.
• Great attitude and customer service skills.
• Fluent in written, spoken, and read English.
• Professional appearance, reliable transportation, and punctuality.
• Problem‑solving and prioritizing skills while on jobsites.
• Workload varies from 0–30+ hours per week based on volume and availability.

Driver Requirements

• Valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Prior Box Truck/Van driving experience and ability to drive Quest light‑weight vans.
• Pass Quest‑generated written and practical driving tests.
• Annual driving record review (no DUIs, etc.).
• Pass DOT physical and drug test.
• Ability to drive medium‑duty trucks (e.g., 16' box truck).

Physical Job Requirements

• Ability to repeatedly lift 62 lbs and work on a step ladder without exceeding maximum weight allowance.
• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Mental Demands

• Problem‑solve and prioritize needs while on jobsites.
• Do simple math calculations and think logically.
• Analyze information and perform needed actions to fulfill duties.
• Able to handle traffic stress, team dynamics, and customer service issues daily.

Salary: $18 - $20 per hour.
