Job summary

SVRC Industries is seeking a dedicated janitorial specialist to maintain the SVRC Marketplace building. You will perform regular cleaning, restrooms, kitchens, and office spaces, and support event setup and teardown with attention to detail and safety.

You'll coordinate with the Marketplace Director, monitor supplies, and ensure post-event cleanup returns spaces to a high standard, while adhering to health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or at least one year of janitorial experience.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Evidence of organizational abilities, as well as basic communication skills.
• Experience working with individuals who have disabilities is preferred.
• Successful completion of a criminal history background check is required under the terms of agency employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides regular janitorial cleaning support to the Marketplace, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, floor care, restroom and kitchen cleaning, trash disposal, supplies replenishment, and window/fixture cleaning.
• Reports facility maintenance needs to the Marketplace Director promptly.
• Sets up event spaces per specifications, including furniture, equipment, and decor; ensures AV/tech equipment functions and troubleshoots issues.
• Assists with decor and layout adjustments during events; dismantles and stores materials post-event; conducts post-event checks.
• Maintains cleanliness and orderliness of event areas and acts as point of contact for janitorial needs or emergencies; adheres to health and safety regulations.
