Job description

A BIT ABOUT US

We’re Hyve - organizer of the world’s fastest-growing and most forward-thinking B2B events. As the chosen event partner to many of the world’s leading companies, our platforms play a critical role in their strategies – helping them enter new markets, accelerate growth and connect with the people who matter most.

Our portfolio features some of the world’s leading events in sectors like ecommerce, healthcare, edtech, and fintech. We’re growing fast with an entrepreneurial culture that empowers big ideas and quick action, plus an ambitious acquisition strategy bringing exciting new events into our mix.

Alongside our market‑leading events, we’re building tech and data‑driven products that supercharge connections – from one-to-one meeting programs and curated table talks to year‑round engagement platforms.

Whatever your role, you’ll join a global team redefining how industries connect, collaborate, and grow – working with some of the most talented people in the business. Think that sounds good? Wait until our talent acquisition team tells you about the culture.

A BIT ABOUT POSSIBLE

Where Passion Meets Business. POSSIBLE is more than an event - it is a movement and a global platform where decision-makers from brands, agencies, media, creativity, culture and technology come together to turn bold ideas into business impact. Its flagship gathering in Miami Beach combines world‑class thought leadership, immersive brand experiences, meaningful relationships and commercially productive connections.

The platform is distinguished by its senior brand‑marketer community, curated C‑suite experiences, POSSIBLE Connect hosted meetings, creative and technology showcases, and programming spanning AI, brand building, media, commerce and the creator economy. As POSSIBLE grows, the ambition is to deepen its year‑round relevance while preserving the distinctive energy, quality and human connections that define the brand.

A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a commercially minded, highly capable Event Director to lead the integrated performance and end‑to‑end delivery of POSSIBLE Miami. This is a senior general‑management role with accountability for revenue, profitability, audience growth, customer experience, operational execution, and cross‑functional team performance.

POSSIBLE is an established, fast‑growing flagship with a clear identity, a strong leadership team and an active Founder who will continue as Chairman after Miami 2027. The opportunity is to build on what has been created: align specialist leaders, translate direction into disciplined execution, strengthen the commercial engine and scale a premium experience without losing what makes POSSIBLE unique.

The Event Director will lead through an experienced team with established functional ownership. Success depends on bringing their expertise together.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Integrated event & leadership accountability
  • Lead the annual Miami business and delivery cycle across sales, marketing, audience development, content, hosted meetings, partnerships, operations and customer experience.
  • Provide clear priorities, decision‑making, cross‑functional alignment and accountability to an established senior leadership team; coach and empower functional owners.
  • Own the integrated master plan, critical path, operating cadence, milestone reviews, risk register and escalation process; drive timely decisions across overlapping event cycles.
  • Build a high‑trust, ambitious, collaborative and performance‑oriented culture, with clear ownership, constructive challenge and strong communication across POSSIBLE and Hyve.
Commercial growth & P&L
  • Own delivery of the Miami event P&L, revenue, contribution/margin and agreed commercial KPIs; maintain rigorous budgets, forecasts, cost controls and timely reporting.
  • Lead integrated commercial planning across sponsorship, exhibition, premium experiences, hosted meetings and delegate ticketing, working through the respective sales and marketing leaders.
  • Challenge pipeline assumptions, conversion rates, pricing, yield, inventory and renewal strategies; support the team on selected high‑value negotiations and complex partner opportunities.
  • Ensure sponsorship propositions are commercially compelling and deliver measurable partner value without compromising audience trust or the quality of the experience.
Audience, community & hosted meetings
  • Protect and grow the quality of POSSIBLE’s senior audience, particularly brand marketers, C‑suite decision‑makers, creators, agencies, platforms and solution providers.
  • Oversee the performance of POSSIBLE Connect and hosted‑buyer recruitment, matching, participant experience and sponsor ROI, in partnership with the functional program leads.
  • Connect audience acquisition, segmentation, registration, retention and customer communications into a coherent, data‑informed customer journey.
  • Support initiatives that deepen engagement before, during and after Miami and reinforce POSSIBLE’s relevance beyond the event dates.
Product excellence & experience
  • Ensure the full POSSIBLE product feels like one thoughtfully curated experience: content, executive forums, innovation, networking, brand activations, hosted meetings and hospitality.
  • Work with content and experience leaders to improve program architecture, audience flow, stage scheduling, attendee value and the balance between inspiration and commercial connection.
  • Champion operational excellence across venue, suppliers, registration, onsite service, accessibility, safety, contingency planning and post‑event evaluation.
  • Use customer feedback, performance data and market insight to prioritize focused improvements and test new formats within agreed strategic and brand parameters.
Partnerships & stakeholder leadership
  • Own the day‑to‑day business relationship and delivery alignment for key sponsors, collaborators, agencies, industry organizations and service partners, working with relevant functional leaders.
  • Build credibility with senior marketing and industry executives and represent POSSIBLE confidently in important client and partner conversations.
  • Coordinate closely with the Chairman on founder‑led relationships, major strategic opportunities, advisory boards, flagship content direction and broader positioning; convert agreed opportunities into executable plans.
  • Partner with Hyve’s finance, people, legal, data and shared‑service teams to deliver robust governance, efficient operations and clear reporting.
Continuous improvement & wider platform alignment
  • Track shifts in marketing, advertising, AI, technology, media, commerce and culture, and translate relevant customer needs into practical improvements to the Miami product.
  • Capture lessons and reusable operating practices that support collaboration with POSSIBLE Europe and other approved platform initiatives, without diluting accountability for Miami.
  • Lead structured post‑event reviews and convert learning into measurable next‑cycle improvements.
As part of your job, you’ll be:

The accountable integrator of POSSIBLE Miami’s operating model. Functional leaders retain ownership of their disciplines, teams, expertise and execution; the Event Director sets shared priorities, resolves trade‑offs, ensures delivery and is accountable for the combined result.

A BIT ABOUT YOU
  • Proven senior leadership of a large, complex, commercially successful B2B event, media platform, community business or comparable experience‑led enterprise.
  • Demonstrated ownership of multi‑million‑dollar revenue plans and P&L performance, with strong financial judgment and forecasting discipline.
  • Exceptional ability to lead experienced functional specialists through influence, clarity, trust and accountability; confident operating above a strong leadership team without micromanaging.
  • Strong commercial instinct and comfort engaging senior enterprise sponsors, marketers, agencies and partners; able to support major deals without becoming the sole salesperson.
  • Outstanding cross‑functional project leadership, operational rigor and composure in high‑pressure live‑event environments.
  • Genuine curiosity about marketing, advertising, media, technology, AI, creativity and the creator economy; understands what matters to senior brand decision‑makers.
  • Customer‑first judgment, premium‑product sensibility and an appreciation of the role of curation, experience and meaningful human connection.
  • Entrepreneurial energy with mature leadership: able to improve and scale an established proposition rather than needing to create a new one.
  • Low ego, high ownership, excellent communication and strong partnership instincts; comfortable collaborating with a visible Founder/Chairman and within a wider group.
  • Ability to use data and insight to drive decisions while retaining good taste, judgment and attention to detail.
You’ll know you’re successful when:
  • Sustainable revenue and margin delivery, with reliable forecasting and disciplined commercial execution.
  • A cohesive, empowered leadership team with clear priorities, ownership and high retention.
  • Growth in the quality and engagement of the brand‑marketer audience, and measurable value for sponsors and hosted‑meeting participants.
  • An outstanding, consistently executed POSSIBLE experience with improving customer satisfaction and operational reliability.
  • A successful working partnership with the Chairman and Hyve, with clear decisions and an effective operating model for the next phase.
