Job summary

Sodexo at the Museum of Science & Industry seeks a Concessions Cashier to support event-based concessions with fast, accurate guest transactions across stands and kiosks.

Requires a High School diploma or equivalent, age to sell alcohol, and prior concessions or customer service experience. Training such as TIPS/TEAM may be required; occasional heavy lifting is involved. Flexible shifts available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to sell alcohol based on state and/or local regulations.
• Prior concessions, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) alcohol training or equivalent.
• Food handler certification may be required based on location.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash, payments, and transaction systems with care and security.
• Assist with stocking, replenishment, and product rotation in concession areas.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of cashier stations, kiosks, and autonomous store areas.
• Lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and up to 35 pounds frequently.
• Be punctual for scheduled shifts and attend work as scheduled.
• Other duties may vary by venue requirements.
