Job summary

Seattle Convention Center is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain interior and exterior cleanliness and support safe operation of the facility during events. You will work closely with setup teams to ensure a high standard of presentation and public image.

This union full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of custodial or event cleaning experience, with CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one year custodial/event cleaning experience.
• Valid CPR and Basic First Aid certification.
• Preferred: GBAC STAR Accreditation familiarity; Pay progression details after 240 AHW.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash from receptacles inside and outside the facility and dispose into appropriate containers.
• Provide ongoing custodial cleaning and maintenance during SCC events.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuums, scrubbers, and floor machines.
• Follow safety procedures and report accidents or equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain knowledge of facility layout, meeting rooms, restrooms, and exits.
