Job summary

High Spirits Hospitality is seeking a part-time Catering Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team for weddings, corporate events, and special occasions. You will help with prep, service, cleaning, and kitchen organization to ensure events run safely and on time.

This hands-on role offers flexible hours, mainly Fridays and Saturdays, with 8-20 hours weekly; prior kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required, as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Kitchen, restaurant, catering, banquet, dishwashing, or food service experience is preferred but not required.
• Learns quickly and can work in a fast-paced event environment.
• Must be able to pass background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting, portioning, labeling, packaging, and assembling ingredients according to recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Support the culinary and event team with food service, including buffets, stations, plated meals, and back-of-house duties.
• Set up, maintain, replenish, and break down buffets and kitchen service areas.
• Assist with food service by replenishing items, serving guests, bussing, and clearing service areas.
• Operate the dishwashing area and sanitize, dry, and store dishes and equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, temperature-control, labeling, storage, and personal hygiene procedures.
