DECC is seeking Bar Service Staff to manage bar operations at events. You will prepare ingredients, serve a variety of drinks, and ensure professional, friendly service in a fast-paced environment.

This part-time, event-driven role requires good math, cash handling, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Prior mixology or alcohol-service training is preferred; MyVenue POS knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of drink preparation and service.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and focus on serving customers.
• Ability to remain calm with disruptive patrons.
• Ability to learn cash register software and POS systems.
• Basic math skills and cash handling experience.
• Adapt to changes, delays or unexpected events.
• Preferred: Knowledge of MyVenue POS, Serving Alcohol Responsibly training, mixology/barkeeping training.

Responsabilités

• Review event sheets and ensure event areas are set up and orderly.
• Ensure complete setup, stocking and striking of bars.
• Prepare ingredients for cocktails and drinks.
• Receive and fulfill orders from patrons and staff.
• Prepare and serve liquor, mixed drinks, wine, beer, and nonalcoholic drinks as ordered.
• Maintain bar cleanliness and organization.
• Display glasses and liquor bottles attractively.
• Check IDs to ensure legal drinking age.
• Collect payments for drinks and manage cash.
• Refuse service when needed and manage intoxicated patrons.
• Maintain safe, clean work area and assist with related tasks.
• Serve or deliver drinks to guests when required.
• Inspect equipment and supplies for smooth operations.
• Support other departments during events.
• Follow health and safety protocols.
