Job summary

Apex Entertainment in Marlborough, MA is hiring Event Servers and Bartenders to help run our events, parties, and banquets. You will work with a team to deliver outstanding food and beverage service and create memorable experiences for guests.

The role covers serving, bartending, event setup, and post-event cleanup. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is important, and TIPS training is required for bartenders.

Qualifications

• TIPS Training is required for bartenders and employees serving alcohol.
• Experience in food & beverage or events preferred but not required.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and events.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 100 lbs. with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional service to all guests.
• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Serve food and beverages while maintaining proper presentation and service standards.
• Answer guest questions and respond to requests in a professional manner.
• Handle guest concerns and challenging situations calmly and appropriately.
• Monitor guests and communicate with management when assistance is needed.
• Thank guests for choosing Apex Entertainment.
• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and portion standards.
• Verify guest identification and follow all applicable alcohol service regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked bar.
• Accurately process payments through the point-of-sale system.
• Maintain product quality and proper beverage presentation.
• Respond appropriately to guests who may be intoxicated and notify management when necessary.
• Attend pre-event and departmental meetings as needed.
• Work closely with servers, bartenders, culinary staff, and management to provide seamless event service.
• Assist with event setup, including tables, chairs, place settings, and other event materials.
• Assist with event breakdown, cleaning, and resetting of event spaces.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas throughout the event.
• Assist with coffee stations, ice machines, dishwashing, and other event-related tasks as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
