Position Summary:

The Bartender is responsible for the service of all beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. They must be personable, professional, and able to work in an ever-changing fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

This role pays an hourly rate of $11.15, plus tips.

About the Venue:

Centene Community Ice Center: A state-of-the-art facility designed for hockey programming, housing three sheets of ice year-round and featuring an outdoor rink for winter months. It is the official practice facility for the St. Louis Blues (NHL) and the home rink for Lindenwood University (NCAA DI). The facility offers hockey development programs, freestyle skating, and daily public skate sessions.

Saint Louis Music Park: A 4,500-seat outdoor venue hosting concerts, festivals, and local markets. It has hosted performers like Alicia Keys, Machine Gun Kelly, The Avett Brothers, and others. The venue features an outdoor amphitheater, food trucks, picnic tables, yard games, and more.

Responsibilities:

• Meet company standards for guest service, co-worker interaction, and uniform standards.
• Follow bar pre-shift notes and menus to provide service.
• Serve alcoholic beverages following all proper procedures and regulations.
• Learn and suggestively upsell beer, wine, and spirits.
• Pour drinks responsibly according to standards.
• Check guest IDs to verify age requirements.
• Communicate cut-off times to guests as required.
• Respond to customer requests and concerns.
• De-escalate intoxicated guest situations; contact management or security if needed.
• Request additional or restock products as needed.
• Handle cash accurately; responsible for issued bank.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work station and well-maintained equipment.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of the bar and organization of the cooler.

Qualifications:

• Six months or more of bartending experience.
