Major Food Group is seeking part-time Event Bartenders to join the team at THE POOL in New York, NY. The role involves preparing beverages, interacting with guests, and ensuring a superior guest experience in a storied venue.

We value at least 3 years of bartending experience, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and on-site availability including nights, weekends, and holidays. Proficiency with a POS system is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on-site nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in operating a point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons.
• Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks.
• Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations.
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails.
• Check customers' identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age.
• Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
• Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience.
• Comply with all food and beverage regulations.
• Greet guests in a timely manner and take orders.
• Process cash and credit card transactions following appropriate procedures.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team.
• Monthly liquor inventory.
• Inventory efficiency – ensure all product has application and purpose.
• Receive and stock liquor product.
• Liquor room - cleanliness and organization

Compensation: $50 / hour
