Job summary

Mercantile Hall in Wisconsin is seeking a Barback to support bartenders during weddings and events. You will restock supplies, maintain bar cleanliness, help setup and breakdown, and ensure smooth operations behind the scenes to create a welcoming experience for guests.

You will learn drink preparation from the bartender, handle payments when needed, and follow Wisconsin liquor laws. This is a weekend, event-driven role with friendly, professional interaction with guests; hours are Fri–Sun

Qualifications

• Provide friendly guest service and support in a bar setting.
• Assist bartenders by restocking supplies and keeping the bar clean and organized.
• Learn to serve beverages responsibly in accordance with Wisconsin liquor laws.

Responsibilities

• Set up and break down bar with liquor and plastics per event specs.
• Maintain bar cleanliness, organization, and stocking during shift.
• Assist bartender in serving beverages in compliance with Wisconsin liquor laws.
• Interact with guests professionally and fulfill drink requests.
• Receive payments and make change as needed.
• Learn drink preparation and proper serving techniques from the bartender.
