Job summary

Danarys New York is a luxury fashion brand in New York's Garment District seeking a Production Assistant to support the Production Manager and the in-house workroom. The role focuses on coordinating client orders, fittings, materials, and overall production flow to maintain couture standards.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys hands-on sewing/production tasks, and can manage multiple orders in a small team. NYC commute to our atelier is required, with daily hours 9–5.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in fashion production or garment construction.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Comfortable working in a small, hands-on team environment.
• Basic knowledge of fabrics, sewing, or pattern making is a plus.
• Proficiency in Google Sheets / Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Production Manager in tracking all active client orders.
• Maintain production calendars and delivery timelines.
• Monitor progress of garments through cutting, embroidery, sewing, and finishing.
• Coordinate with pattern makers, seamstresses, and embroiderers.
• Ensure correct fabrics, trims, and patterns are available for each order.
• Assist with garment preparation for fittings.
• Maintain detailed records of client measurements, customization notes, and design changes.
• Update internal order sheets and production logs.
• Track fabric usage and inventory related to orders.
• Assist during fittings by taking notes and documenting changes.
• Photograph garments and details for production records.
• Prepare garments for client pick-ups or shipping.
• Assist in checking finished garments for accuracy and finishing standards.
• Flag production issues early to the Production Manager.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
