Job summary

Mountain Youth Academy, a UHS subsidiary, seeks a Community Manager for evening and weekend shifts to support the therapeutic milieu at Mountain City, TN. You will manage the program schedule, supervise staff, and model professional behavior while coordinating activities that align with treatment goals.

This role requires a background check and strong de-escalation skills, with a focus on patient safety, documentation, and teamwork within an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED with one year of Health Care Experience required.
• Verbal De-escalation skills to assist residents in regaining control.
• Working knowledge of CARF and HIPAA policies and procedures.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to instruct and coach others on de-escalation and crisis intervention.
• Ability to read, write and document as required by standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages and is accountable for the overall milieu of patients on the assigned community.
• Manages program schedules, outings, and incentives to support treatment goals.
• Works with an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide continuous patient care.
• Supervises staff, ensures adherence to policies and schedules, and maintains a safe, professional environment.
