Qualifications

• Understanding of medical terminology expected.

• Ability to walk and stand in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to obtain identification information and prepare forms for treatment, billing or record release.
• Apply ID bands to patients following the two-identifier rule.
• Interact with insurance companies for notifications or information.
• Educate patients about Advance Directives and Charity Care when needed.
• Enter patients into the computer system to enable registration and throughput.
• Assist departments with projects and various duties as directed by management.
• Balance daily receipts and ensure transactions are closed out by end of shift.
