Job summary

Avera is seeking a housekeeping-focused team member to maintain a clean and organized hospital environment. The role supports patient rooms, nursing stations, and public areas, with a 2:00pm–10:30pm shift and rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include cleaning tasks, stock management, and delivering linens while maintaining excellent customer relations. Prior experience is helpful, and emphasis is placed on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work the hours specified, with visual acuity and effective communication.
• High School or GED Equivalent
• One to three months related experience

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean/neat environment in working area (e.g., patient rooms, terminals, offices, nurse's stations, lounges, hallways, bathrooms, kitchens, elevators, lobby areas).
• Participates in all cleaning activities (dusting, washing, drying, mopping, vacuuming, moving furniture, trash).
• Keeps assigned area fully stocked with supplies (paper towels, toilet paper, etc.).
• Maintains stock on cleaning carts with wet and dry supplies.
• Maintain good customer relations at all times.
• Sorts, washes, and delivers linens as needed.
