G.A. Richards Wood Operations in Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a finishing worker to perform final preparation of product for shipment.

This role operates on the second shift, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with training on the first shift as needed. You will finish and repair wood products by hand using files, hand knives, routers, sandpaper, and other tools, inspect parts for aesthetics and quality, and help maintain inventory of finishing supplies.

Responsibilities

• Finishing product by hand using hand tools such as files, knives, routers, sandpaper, and trimming devices.
• Repairing product using putty, bondo, wood filler, adhesives, markers, and crayons as needed.
• Read and comprehend job tickets, drawings, quality policies, and standards.
• Inspect product for aesthetics and ensure compliance to quality standards.
• Maintain inventory for finishing supplies and requisition replenishment.
