Job summary

Birch Tree Communities, Inc. is seeking a Life Skills Coach to provide support services in the evenings, overnights, and weekends. You will work within a treatment team under supervision to deliver clinically appropriate activities aligned with each member’s plan of care.

The role requires QBHP certification, strong documentation skills, and the ability to transport members in company vehicles. Experience in mental health with a compassionate, recovery-oriented approach is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED; bachelor’s degree or related experience preferred.
• Must possess valid and current driver’s license.
• QBHP/CSSP certification required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of the mental health system and experience with serious mental illness preferred.
• Proficient computer skills; basic knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Honest, dependable, self-motivated, and dedicated to Birch Tree values and mission.
• Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.

Responsibilities

• Complete QBHP/CSSP certification and continuing education annually.
• Face-to-face MHP supervision every 14 days with required contacts.
• Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a safe, clean environment.
• Read and understand the member’s plan of care to provide services.
• Work shifts as assigned; schedules may change on short notice.
• Submit required documentation by end of each shift.
• Ensure documentation shows services based on the member’s POC.
