Job summary

Gwinnett Technical College is seeking an Instructor for Adult ABE/ASE to teach computational mathematics, reading, English grammar, and social studies to high school equivalency students. The role reports to the Director of Curriculum and Instruction for High School Equivalency.

The position is full-time, with nights and occasional Saturdays. It is based primarily at the Alpharetta North-Fulton campus and may require work at the Lawrenceville Campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Master's degree preferred with focus on education; two years teaching experience preferred.
• Microsoft Word, Excel and instructional software experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and ability to teach middle through high school levels, in-person or virtual.

Responsibilities

• Instruct classes following a predefined curriculum and prepare for each session.
• Maintain accurate student files, program reports, and payroll forms.
• Participate in staff development and be able to adapt to different learning styles and diverse cultures.
• Communicate effectively with students, employees and the public in a tactful and courteous manner.
