Job summary

City of Thornton is seeking a Gymnastics Instructor I/II to teach a range of gymnastics classes to participants of varying ages. Responsibilities include setup, instruction, and supervision in a friendly recreation setting.

Applicants should be able to spot gymnasts, maintain safety standards, and communicate effectively with participants and parents. Some experience in recreation settings is preferred; the role requires flexibility and reliability.

Qualifications

• CPR for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certificates, or the ability to obtain both within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply operating policies and procedures.
• Ability to lead and coordinate gymnastic classes and ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with set-up, tear-down, preparation, and planning of gymnastics classes.
• Teach tot through beginner gymnastics classes through games, movement, and songs.
• Provide spotting of children on floor, bars and beam.
• Ensure safety and enforce facility policies.
• Interact with participants/parents to answer questions and resolve issues.
