Job summary

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is seeking part-time ESOL instructors to teach evening and Saturday morning classes in the English Basic Skills program for the winter semester starting January. Positions cover Glen Burnie, Lothian, Annapolis and Odenton areas and require in-person presence plus occasional off-campus locations.

Instructors will assess student progress, maintain attendance records, and complete required duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in TESOL, education, or related field.
• At least one year of TESOL or related teaching experience.
• Availability to teach two evenings per week (Mon/Wed or Tue/Thu) or on Saturday mornings.
• Experience working with populations from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
• Proficiency using computers and classroom technology.

Responsibilities

• Teach ESOL in evening and Saturday morning classes.
• Assess and record student progress and attendance.
• Meet deadlines for submitting grades and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in department professional learning events.
