Hope Haven invites applications for a part-time Enrichment Specialist to plan, coordinate, and lead engaging activities for residents of a 24-hour residential facility. Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, human services, social work, or related field preferred.
• Experience in recreational programming, activities coordination, volunteer management, or a related residential/community setting.
• Comfortable working with individuals in a residential SUD or behavioral health setting.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to coordinate multiple moving parts (volunteers, schedules, resident needs).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a regular weekly/monthly calendar of evening and weekend enrichment activities for residents.
• Recruit, screen, and coordinate outside volunteers and community partners who lead activities.
• Serve as the on-site point of contact for volunteers during scheduled activities; ensure smooth setup, facilitation, and clean-up.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate activities when volunteer coverage is unavailable.
• Promote activities to residents and tailor outreach to interests and needs.
• Maintain attendance records and basic participation data for activities offered.
• Ensure activities comply with safety protocols and licensing requirements.
• Coordinate supplies and space setup/breakdown for each activity.
• Communicate with residential staff and leadership regarding the enrichment calendar and volunteer needs.
• Conduct basic background/safety checks or coordinate with HR for vetting as required.
• Maintain a welcoming, inclusive environment for residents of varying backgrounds, faiths, and abilities.
• Perform other duties to support resident engagement and quality of life.
