Job summary

The City of Kent, Washington is hiring a full-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness and upkeep of City facilities. You will perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing restrooms, and more under supervision of the Custodial Supervisor or Lead.

Ideal candidates have at least six months of related experience and the ability to work independently. Evening or weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Six months of related custodial experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Collect trash and recyclables and dispose in appropriate receptacles.
• Clean, sanitize and maintain restrooms.
• Vacuum and shampoo carpets and upholstery; edge vacuum where needed.
• Clean windows, doors and blinds as required.
• Restock and maintain supplies; refill dispensers.
• Sweep, mop and buff floors; refinish as scheduled.
