Qualifications

• Must be state-certified as a nurse aide.
• State-approved medication administration certification required.
• Familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide.

Responsibilities

• Administers oral and topical medications as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Maintain documentation of administrations and treatments accurately.
• Observe and report adverse reactions or side effects to a licensed nurse.
• Follow five rights of medication administration and facility policies.
