Qualifications

• Six months retail and food service experience recommended.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Fluency in the English language, spoken and written.
• ServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card is required within 30 days post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes guests, monitors entrance/exit, supports Front of House and departments.
• Assists guests quickly and courteously, answers phones promptly.
• Performs all cash handling, register functions, alcohol sales, and returns to Bi-Rite standards.
• Maintains working knowledge of PLU codes for produce, flowers, and other merchandise.
• Bags groceries according to guest specifications and department best practices.
• Restocks and maintains cleanliness of coffee and pastry offerings, utensils and stations.
