Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II for the 2nd shift (1:00-10:00pm) in The Colony, TX. You will coordinate ordering, receiving, storing, inventory, issuing, displaying and shipping, while managing supplies, tools, and equipment in the warehouse and sales floor.

The role requires 1 year of supervisory experience and 2 years of warehouse experience, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year supervisory or management experience.
• 2 years’ warehouse experience.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record preferred.
• PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point and Access preferred.
• Ability to work night, weekend and/or early morning hours based on business needs.
• Pre-employment screening includes, but isn’t limited to, criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor: Understand workload priorities and direct movement of all products to meet customer needs.
• Manage: Coach, train, hire and support staff. Provide regular feedback and recognition. Hold staff accountable for fulfilling their key responsibilities and goals satisfactorily.
• Plan: Develop agendas, conduct monthly staff meetings, control expenses/turnover and meet goals.
• Punctuality: Apply the attendance policy to scheduled training events just as it is applied to regular work schedules.
• Safety: Ensure machines/equipment are properly utilized and immediately correct inappropriate operating behaviors.
• Teamwork: Perform duties of supervised staff to assist in meeting deadlines and/or to fill in when short staffed.
