Job summary

Surly Brewing Co. in Minnesota seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to support the Sr. Logistics Manager in daily warehouse and transportation operations.

You will supervise workload, help determine staffing, and coordinate with departments to meet Surly’s goals. You will work closely with the Warehouse Manager, Sr. Logistics Manager, Production Manager and Quality Manager to ensure top-quality products reach consumers and contract partners.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or relevant role.
• Demonstrate competency in strategic planning.
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operating metrics.
• Working knowledge of IT, MS Office and Orchestrated Beer.
• Solid understanding of beer and beverage quality, rotation, freshness and life span.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe work environment and a culture that embraces safe work habits, understanding of the risks, compliance with regulations, and prioritizing corrective action of any identified safety hazards and risks.
• Assist to hire and make a training plan for new staff
• Supervise direct reporting staff according to overall company policy
• Apply strategic planning to determine company and department objectives
• Set employee goals and objectives
• Develop staff to maximize potential
• Monitor staff performance and communicate with Warehouse Manager
• Monitor and assist staff with work progress
• Assist to plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize efficiency
