Job summary

Cardinal Health, Inc. in Elgin, IL is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support outbound and inbound activities under the supervision of the Warehouse Supervisor, ensuring quality, safety, productivity and compliance.

You will follow SOPs to pick, pack, ship orders, use the Warehouse Management System, operate forklifts and other equipment, and help maintain a clean, safe facility. The role requires ability to lift 10-50 lbs, stand for long periods, and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand for entire shift.
• Comfort working at heights 20–30 feet regularly.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• Previous material handling equipment experience (PIT) required
• RF scanner and/or voice-pick experience highly preferred
• Must be able to work overtime with little to no advance notice
• Ability to follow directions and adapt to priorities while working independently or in a team

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to process orders including picking, quality checks, sorting, consolidating freight, building and wrapping pallets, packing, loading and preparing orders for shipment.
• Cross-train in multiple areas of the warehouse and participate in projects as needed.
• Utilize WMS to check in and/or send out products.
• Drive material handling equipment as required (order picker, forklift, reach truck, turret truck, pallet jack, walkie rider).
• Complete housekeeping and inventory control tasks and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Work on routine assignments that require problem resolution.
• Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management.
• Perform all duties in accordance with OSHA standards and company policies.
