Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 0-1 years of related security experience; 1 year is preferred.
• Understand relevant laws and penal codes pertaining to safety and security (e.g., loitering and skateboarding ordinances).
• Ability to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
• CPR certified.

Responsibilities

• Patrols the building on a regular basis so that the interior and exterior of the building remains secure during the shift.
• Responds to safety and security calls to ensure incidents are resolved professionally and promptly.
• Screens and logs visitors to ensure appropriate access to the building.
• Monitors activity on security cameras and ensures devices are in working order; reviews footage as directed.
• Operates Lutron system to ensure lighting in necessary areas.
• Compiles accurate incident reports with relevant information.
• Interacts calmly with guests to prevent escalation; assists with ejection or control of unruly or intoxicated guests.
• Regulates crowds during venue operations to maintain order at ticket lines.
• Enables and disables the alarm system as directed to ensure proper functioning.
• Manages and logs access keys for designated personnel; opens doors as needed.
• Participates in training sessions conducted by the Security Manager.
