Job summary

Maryhurst seeks a Therapeutic Behavioral Support Specialist to support a child client across residential, community, and school settings. You will implement individualized treatment plans, provide crisis prevention, and help create a therapeutic milieu with direct care staff.

The role emphasizes collaboration with treatment teams, supervision of youth post‑school and transition supports, and ongoing Independent Living Skills training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience related to child care or supervision of children and/or adolescents, or experience in providing therapeutic interventions with clients who have severe emotional and behavioral concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to a specific client in the program and other related settings to maintain safe and healthy behaviors.
• Develop behavior support plans and milieu support plans with treatment teams.
• Support milieus by creating a therapeutic environment and providing crisis prevention services.
• Supervise activities of clients who have finished secondary schooling and youths needing specialized support.
• Provide and maintain Independent Living Skills training plan based on assessments results.
