Job summary

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Office of Vocational Rehabilitation at the Hiram G. Andrews Center is seeking a Therapeutic Activities Worker to deliver evening programming that supports student engagement, positive campus culture, and growth.

You will design activities that blend therapeutic recreation with occupational and vocational skills, train students in social interaction, and help them practice independent living, work readiness, and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience providing therapeutic activities for individuals with physical, medical, or cognitive disabilities, or a bachelor’s degree with relevant coursework.
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement on-campus events and activities for students.
• Teach social skills through group sessions and community-based experiences.
• Provide activities that help students practice work, community life, and independent living skills.
• Research, develop, and adapt techniques, activities, and events to meet student needs.
• Maintain required records, coordinate schedules, and ensure supplies and equipment for program success.
