Job summary

Bascom Maple Farms is seeking Cooler Team Members for a second shift, part-time role in a cold production area in the United States. The position runs Monday–Friday, 4pm–8pm, with extended hours depending on workload, and involves filling silos, drum handling, and strict recordkeeping.

Responsibilities include preparing syrup for shipments, testing invert sugar, maintaining a clean cooler and drum areas, and loading drums for transport.

Qualifications

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Math Skills-counting, basic arithmetic.
• Reading and legible writing skills for recordkeeping.
• Ability to grade syrup (differentiation of flavors and colors).
• Forklift experience preferred, or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Prepare field run syrup for outgoing shipments.
• Test syrup for invert sugar as needed for production runs.
• Maintain a clean and organized cooler, including drum warehouse, pumping area, and silo rooms/silos. Complete cleaning per schedules.
• Select appropriate syrup drums to fill silos and pump drums into silos. Load drums on outgoing trailer trucks.
• Assist with monthly inventory counts and inventory segregation.
• Follow Quality Control programs and report problems to manager immediately.
• Other tasks as requested.
