Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Surgical Technologist is required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential is required.

Responsibilities

• Implements and communicates the age-specific plan of care and provides thorough shift reports.
• Participates in turnover and room setup for each procedure and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Monitors infection control measures and aseptic technique during procedures.
• Adheres to aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
• Maintains environmental controls and waste disposal precautions.
• Performs counts with RN and assists with instrument handling as needed.
• Assists surgeon with patient care procedures and specimen labeling.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
