Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health seeks a SUD Therapist for Evening IOP in Columbia, MD. This full-time role blends hybrid/virtual work with in-person days, offering a competitive hourly rate and opportunities to support patients in recovery through group work, assessments, and treatment planning.

You will join a team dedicated to evidence-based addiction and mental health care, participating in an integrated care model while advancing clinical skills and pursuing growth within the program.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the SUD field (group treatment experience a plus, not required)
• Strong clinical, verbal, and written communication skills
• Comfort working in an electronic medical record system
• Familiarity with recovery modalities — 12-Step, SMART Recovery, Harm Reduction, Recovery Dharma, Women for Sobriety, and more
• A flexible, creative, team-first mindset, ready to grow with an expanding program
• If in personal recovery: minimum of 3 years continuous sobriety required (5+ preferred)

Responsibilities

• Build genuine, collaborative treatment alliances with patients, adapting to their evolving clinical needs
• Facilitate addiction treatment groups at the IOP and OP levels of care
• Deliver engaging addiction and recovery education presentations
• Conduct evaluations for substance use disorders using DSM-5 and ASAM criteria
• Maintain clear, timely clinical documentation that meets state and CARF standards
• Track and contribute to measurable outcomes — retention, attendance, program completion, and treatment goal achievement
• Share on-call coverage on a rotating basis to support patients in crisis
• Bring experience in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, and trauma-informed care into daily practice
• Represent Kolmac/CCG with professionalism and positive energy, in and out of session
