Qualifications

• High school education required; college helpful but not required.
• At least 1 year of management experience in retail.
• Ability to make critical decisions and provide effective leadership.
• Excellent communication skills for customers and employees.
• Lift up to 50 lbs. approx. 30% of the time.
• Ability to retrieve/place merchandise on top racks in aisles; 20% of time.
• Operate pallet jack, step carts, and equipment like the Big Joe.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations in the absence of the store manager.
• Ensure courteous service and proper handling of customer complaints and requests.
• Delegate duties effectively to achieve maximum performance and follow-up.
• Maintain housekeeping for a clean, inviting store appearance.
• Keep building/equipment safe and in good working order.
• Ensure products are fresh and properly merchandised to maximize sales.
• Implement and maintain fire, safety, and security programs as required.
• Greet customers and thank them for patronage.
• Conduct evening refrigeration checks and supervise store during evening hours.
• Adhere to company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.
