Qualifications

• Minimum requirement of a high school education; college education is helpful.

• Ability to make critical decisions and provide effective leadership.
• Excellent communication skills to engage customers and employees.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50 lbs.) approximately thirty percent (30%) of the time.
• Ability to retrieve and place merchandise on top racks in grocery aisles.
• Ability to operate a pallet jack, step carts, and the 'Big Joe'.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of the store in the absence of the store manager.
• Ensure store personnel are courteous and handle customer complaints professionally.
• Maintain an orderly and clean store that pleases the customer.
• Ensure safety operations in line with regulations.
• Oversee products' freshness and proper merchandising for sales.
• Implement and maintain fire and safety programs as per guidelines.
• Maintain effective security standards inside and outside the store.
• Greet customers and thank them for their patronage.
• Conduct refrigeration checks throughout the evening.
• Handle additional duties as required in store departments.
