Job summary

Providence Little Company of Mary Torrance is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician for the Evening shift. The role involves processing and sterilizing instruments, and handling inventory for real-time status updates.

Under supervision, you will receive and respond to requests for product, equipment and supplies, while ensuring compliance with established procedures in a hospital Central Services environment in Torrance, CA.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a recognized Central Service Technician course and maintain CEU updates on file.
• Within 1 year of hire, obtain a national certification as Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA) or CPD certification.
• Within 1 year of hire, obtain Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician certification (CSPDT) or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Central Service.
• Experience with general office practices, purchasing, business ethics and prudent buyer concepts.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, process and sterilize equipment and instrumentation.
• Receive and issue supplies/equipment; maintain real-time inventory.
• Respond to calls for product, equipment and supplies as needed.
