Job summary

ChristianaCare in Wilmington seeks a Sterile Processing Tech I for the Evening shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with weekend/holiday rotation. You will ensure instruments are cleaned, assembled, packaged and sterilized per CBSPD, AAMI, and HSPA guidelines to support patient safety and clinical excellence.

Responsibilities include instrument decontamination, packaging, labeling, and recording sterilization data. Education requires CBSPD/CRCST certification and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
CBSPD/CRCST certification required.

Responsibilities

Cleans and decontaminates surgical instruments and equipment following policy and procedure.
Inspects, assembles, packages and sterilizes devices per manufacturer recommendations.
Wraps and labels instruments and sets for tracking in the CensiTrfac system.
Performs decontamination manually and with automated equipment.
Records sterilization parameters and test results; maintains sterile storage inventory.
Restocks reprocessed items and supports OR case cart requests.
