Job summary

MUSC Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician Lead in Orangeburg, SC to oversee the evening shift and ensure timely, safe processing of surgical instruments. You will manage disassembly, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, assembly, packaging, labeling, and sterilization, while mentoring staff.

Requires CRCST or CBSPD certification, a minimum of 2 years SPD experience, and a high school diploma or GED. Advanced certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of sterile processing experience.
• Must be certified and maintain a CRCST or CBSPD certification.
• Graduate of high school or GED equivalency examination.

Responsibilities

• Lead the reprocessing cycle for surgical instrumentation.
• Direct effective staff flow on the evening shift.
• Mentor, train, coach, and role model Sterile Processing Technicians.
