Job summary

Aerotek in Fargo, ND seeks a Second Shift Supervisor to oversee steel fabrication and welding on the second shift, driving safety, productivity and quality. You will lead and develop production staff, interpret blueprints and ensure OSHA compliance.

The role is a contract-to-hire, onsite position from 4:30 PM to 1:00 AM, with potential overtime and Saturday hours. Pay ranges from $32 to $35 per hour, with weekly pay and benefits including medical, dental, 401(k).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of steel fabrication and welding experience.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of AISC standards and quality standards.
• Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
• Experience with welding, material handling, equipment operation, and equipment maintenance.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate second shift steel fabrication operations.
• Lead, train, mentor, and develop fabrication personnel.
• Manage employee performance, documentation, and disciplinary processes when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure accurate production documentation.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment.
• Support production scheduling and shop efficiency initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
