Job summary

Discovery Ranch for Boys, a therapeutic residential program in Utah, seeks a Special Education Teacher. You will provide afternoon classroom instruction after therapy, engaging a diverse student body of teenage boys.

The role is part-time with potential to grow to full-time, with evenings Monday through Thursday, 4-8:30 pm, earning $24-26/hour DOE. Ideal candidates bring passion for at-risk youth and experience with experiential learning in a ranch setting.

Qualifications

• Utah Educator license and state special education credential.
• Proficient with IEP and 504 considerations and documentation.
• Ability to pass background and motor vehicle checks.
• Current Utah driver’s license and CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Classroom management and supervision.
• One-on-one instruction and mentoring.
• Planning and participation in experiential activities.
• Curriculum development for therapeutic education.
