Pratt Industries in Rockwall, TX is seeking a Slitter Operator to manage the setup, operation, and cleanup of the slitter line. The role supports the production process by adjusting machine settings, verifying data, and ensuring correct board production.

Responsibilities include feeding orders, monitoring quality, performing soak tests, and communicating with the wet end. This full-time position offers benefits and requires adherence to safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Able to read and follow factory masters/instructions.
• Able to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy; basic math skills required.
• May be required to obtain and maintain a Lift Truck Operator License.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the slitter according to orders and specifications.
• Enter information into computers to adjust settings (scores, speed, stack height, sheet count).
• Verify information in computer and execute order changes.
• Cross-check boards with lineup or order scheduler display for accuracy.
• Inspect board quality for defects and perform soak tests as needed.
• Set up tear-tape machine and preprint as needed.
• Communicate adjustments to the wet end and clear jams safely.
• Follow production schedule and assist in training others.
