Job summary

Hanes Companies is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor – Shipping to lead shipping operations on the 2nd shift. The role emphasizes enforcing policies, maintaining quality and safety, and providing clear leadership to a team within a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities include driving continuous improvement, coordinating with Order Prep and Customer Service on problem orders, and ensuring accurate production reporting while maintaining a clean, safe workplace.

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with company policies and enforce policies to all employees reporting to him/her.
• Must be detailed oriented.
• Good communication skills (verbal & written).
• Must be able to follow verbal & written instructions.
• Commitment to Management System and Continuous Improvement process.

Responsibilities

• Identify and stop non-conformances and take action to prevent non-conformances related to products, processes, services or the QEMS.
• Encourage suggestions and participate in the continuous improvement process and verify solution implementation.
• Conform to all quality/safety/environmental requirements and procedures.
• Provide leadership and direction through open and clear communication.
• Produce results in safety, quality, cost, and customer satisfaction.
• Run various machines and perform utility related tasks as needed.
• Fill in on machines, utility, and other shop duties as needed.
• Promote employee morale and involvement.
• Provide meaningful feedback and recognition.
• Provide quality plans and work instructions.
• Provide training for new employees.
• Ensure production reporting is neat and accurate.
• Communicate with Order Prep and Customer Service on problem orders.
• Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
