Qualifications

• Four years of journey-level experience in building maintenance, plumbing, HVAC, or electrical.
• OR two years of experience with Pima County in a Trades Maintenance Specialist I or closely-related position as determined by the department head at the time of recruitment.
• Qualifying education and experience must be clearly documented in the 'Education' and 'Work Experience' sections of the application.

Responsibilities

• Performs operational and preventive maintenance on complex facilities, equipment, and systems, including ecological or natural resource areas.
• Executes critical repairs to systems and equipment to maintain functionality, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, permits, and regulations.
• Acts as a technical expert in the maintenance and modification of complex equipment and systems, including natural resource management.
• Interprets and applies relevant codes, standards, blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to facilitate work processes.
• Prepares working sketches, drawings, and resource estimates for assigned projects and modifications.
• Operates specialized equipment to support various activities within the organization.
